Terrence Stamp brings his distinctive voice to some of the most moving and poignant writings from Krishnamurti's journals.
Stamp, an English actor, has been starring in films since 1962, and to date has appeared in more than 60 films. He has won many awards, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor and a BAFTA nomination for Best Newcomer.
Federico Fellini introduced him to Krishnamurti in the late 1960s. Stamp described Krishnamurti as " ‘full of light and wisdom" and "the first great enlightened man I’d ever met”. He credited K with helping to change his life by opening him up to a world of unanswered questions.

The excerpts from this audio CD are drawn from the book series Commentaries on Living. During the 1930s and 1940s Krishnamurti was intermittently keeping notes of his philosophical observations, his inner states, his musings about nature, and his discussions with individuals and groups. Aldous Huxley, a longtime friend of his encouraged him to continue writing, and to eventually publish the notes. Commentaries records his meetings with individual seekers from all walks of life, during which he comments on the struggles common to those who work to break the boundaries of personality and self-limitation

"This silence is not of the mind, and so the mind cannot cultivate or become identified with it. The content of this silence is not to be measured by words"
