The Kitchen Chronicles: 1001 Lunches With J. Krishnamurti
This is not a cookbook: it is a simple, unpretentious, and affectionate portrayal of J. Krishnamurti in his everyday life by a man who was his cook for over a decade. We get to share his food, jokes, and anecdotes. As one reader commented on the Internet, the book is 'the next best thing to having lived with Krishnamurti.'
Thank you Michael for writing your experiences with K and something your life unfolding from your first exposure at Saannen and becoming a cook and teacher in Ojai.I’ve read most of K’s books and biographies.Your book brings K closer and I appreciate the emphasis on his jokes and sense of humor….by the way, we briefly met this past June and sat in on an informal talk you were having with a group of 5 or so women. That too was a new exposure to K. Though I was staying at the Pepper Tree I had come a friend’s wedding so limited time at the center.Hope to return in the fall or winter. may all be well with you, Eduardo
